The Old Oligarch has a great post about finding a parish in northern Virginia. It made me yet more grateful to be back home in Denver. In just over two years, I've heard more homilies on topics like recreational sex, contraception and abortion than it seems most coastal Catholics would hear in a lifetime. I've been to about a dozen parishes and all but one have the tabernacle front and center. The other one has a rather conspicuous (if aesthetically unappealing) chapel. To quote my hometown paper, 'Tis a privilege to live in Colorado!
