One of the horrible things about working in the healthcare business is that, on occasion, one is required to participate in something gravely sinful. Today I provided assistance on a project that turned out to be intended to support artificial fertility.

I hope that someday I get the opportunity to start a fully-Catholic fully-integrated heatlhcare system. Ideally it would contain a general acute hospital, generalist and specialist physicians, pharmacy, home health care and ancillary services all of which would be guided by actual Catholic teaching and love for the children of God. Anyway, now all 40 or so of you know why I'm going to grad school. Somebody has to run the business end of things. Besides, I get too squeamish around blood and guts to be involved effectively in a hands-on way.
