Vita Brevis

. . . so get with it!

Was pleasantly surprised at Mass yesterday to hear “render to Caesar” applied to “abortion, contraception, euthanasia, capital punishment and the upcoming war”. I was disappointed that artificial conception wasn’t included, as that is the area where pro-life activities tend to be the weakest and where there’s need for better awareness on the part of the laity. Artificial conception is not only an offense against God in that humans attempt to create life in a novel way, but it usually results in creating large numbers of people, only a few of whom will ever get the chance to be born. Artificial conception is opening the door to cloning – an evil of unimaginable proportions.
