Mr. Den Beste has a very optimistic post about the future of much of southwest Asia. The gist: the US is being quiet about Saudi Arabia, Israel is exercising great restraint against the murderous mob of vermin in its midst and India is quiet about Pakistani aggression because the civilized world is following a plan whereby Iraq goes first and is redeveloped as a civilized state, then in good time the other gangs of Moslem murderers will go to their reward courtesy of the civilized world. While I ardently hope he’s right, it’s difficult for me to be that optimistic about multiple governments getting on the page and doing something that disciplined.
