I’m short on time today, so just one note about CAI. The site.lists a feature called “Heresy of the Month”. Since I’ve been looking, the heresy has be Ebionism – so they don’t really change it every month. No big deal there.
The choice of Ebionism, though, is quite odd. The only people who currently hold tenets similar to the Ebionists are Seventh-Day Adventists, who aren’t likely to have much truck with Catholic apologists due to other of their doctrines.
Ebionists, though, were those who believed that Christians were bound by Jewish ritual law – with few exceptions, it’s been dead for about fifteen centuries. To point out the heresy of Ebionism as opposed to one of the many heresies that are popular today (Gnosticism, for instance, or even Arianism) seems to be a sign that someone may a bit of a fixation with things Jewish and condemning them.
