From late Sunday through this morning it was cold in Denver. Cold as in below zero Fahrenheit with a bit of a breeze. (Contrary to popular opinion, that's unusual here.) This afternoon it’s in the upper 20s, sunny and calm. The contrast is enough that I was comfortable walking a block or so in shirtsleeves. The cold snap had reset my internal thermostat pretty well. (Now I am usually pretty hardy with cool weather, but wearing shirtsleeves when it’s below freezing isn’t usually in my repertoire.)
While walking, the thought popped into my mind, “Wouldn’t it be great if I could become accustomed to holiness as readily as I become accustomed to cold weather?”
