Some chat going about re: future saints – those servants of God none of whom have yet been formally recognized by the Church as a saint or beatus, but for whom we have reverence, respect and affection.

1. Dorothy Day (she’s among my favorite saints anyway);
2. Teresa of Calcutta (who’d object there?);
3. Fr. Leo Heinrichs, O.F.M. (in my estimation, my hometown’s first martyr);
4. Bishop Fulton J. Sheen; and
5. someone that’s still alive, kicking and even on the web who’d be mortified to be on this list, so I won’t divulge the name.
