Mommentary has a superb post on folks who are overly aggressive in their use of fragrances. Seems that they're like Mithridates. They become so inured to the scent that it constantly takes more and more for them to register that there's enough. It does always tend to be someone who's been around a while. The worst offenders I know are all lots older than Miss Dashwood or even me -- probably in the neighborhood of sixty.
