Well, that was a perfectly dreadful sports weekend. Nearly everything that could have gone wrong did. About the only good thing was that the Raiders lost.

By evening I wasn’t up for seeing either the Cubs or the Browns run away with their respective games and add insult to injury. I ended up watching the high-dollar episode of Trading Spaces. It will be repeated (probably very often). If you didn’t see it the first time, you might enjoy a re-broadcast.

Most of the commercials on the show were for other shows where people redecorate, work out or get makeovers. Between those shows and “hook up” dating shows, a large percentage of the airwaves are filled with people endeavoring to change the incidentals of their lives.

Too rarely, though, do people look at the changes that actually would make their lives better.
