The relay continues apace . . .
Courtesy of the partially out-of-pocket Signor Keiholtz:
You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451. Which book do you want to be?
Weekend Wodehouse. (Or some other Jeeves & Wooster.)
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Yep. Wolfie's wife from the film version of Amadeus - her name escapes me right now.
The last book you bought was . . .
A new lectionary for the parish. (The old one was coming apart at the binding more than was seemly.)
The last book you read was . . .
Lileks' Interior Desecrations. I've never laughed so hard in my life.
What are you currently reading?
An odd little book called Across the Cimarron by James Horan - the memoir of George Bolds: a 19th century Kansan who knew and worked with folks like Wyatt Earp.
Five books you would take to a desert island:
1. Bible - Douay Rheims
2. Collected works of Yeats
3. William Manchester's biography of Churchill
4. Crime and Punishment
5. Something I haven't read yet that sounds interesting, let's say Confederacy of Dunces.
What three people are you passing this stick on to and why?
Mr. Riddle - a downright fascinating fellow who's bound to recommend some things I ought to read.
Mr. O'Rama - similar reasons as with Mr. Riddle and his answers will likely include at least a few humorous observations.
Mrs. Cacciaguida (Elinor Dashwood) - this lot obviously needs someone to be the sensible one, eh?
