Friday was the first day of spring . . .
and, as such, the vernal equinox.
This year our neighborhood pagans did not stage an outdoor ceremony, though they had for both solstices and, IIRC, the autumnal equinox. The NPs have an old house with a superabundance of overgrown trees and shrubs. Their foliage didn’t weather last week’s storms well at all, so their yard is now much less private than it had long been. The outdoor altar is now quite visible to casual passersby. (I had only seen it in the past because of the dog chasing squirrels into the overgrowth.) Maybe the NPs will bug out to another neighborhood to better facilitate their rituals.
