One of the best things about growing up as a Lutheran in the mid 20th century in the US was this offertory (usually sung once a month). It’s especially fitting during Lent.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Thy presence
And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation
And uphold me with Thy free spirit.

(From Psalm 51/50, but you knew that already.)
