. . . so get with it!

Items noted from the driver’s seat:

A Congregationalist meeting hall has a marquee sign that now reads “Under the same management for 2000 years.” If Congregationalists have been doing their thing for 2000 years it raises a few questions, like what that whole “Reformation” episode was
about and where there’s any evidence of the first fifteen centuries or so of Congregationalism.

A Presbyterian establishment has a marquee sign that reads “St.Patrick worshipped here. OK, not really, but you can.” Now this is conjecture, but I’m pretty sure that St. Patrick wouldn’t take kindly to his name being used to promote any church not in full communion with the Roman Ponitff. The lying probably wouldn’t have sat too well with him either. (I hadn’t read the Catholic Encyclopedia bit on tomorrow’s illustrious saint until just now. Wow.)

This morning I saw a pickup truck bearing a custom license plate reading “Uranus”. Don’t know, though, whether that was the point of origin, destination, fantasy vacation spot, cargo or object of worship. I’m reasonably confident that the truck was neither owned nor operated by Mr. Herschel.

Protestantism has been under the same management for a lot longer than 2000 years. In fact, it is older than the Catholic Church, which was founded by Christ Himself while He was on Earth.

Protestantism was born when the Angel Lucifer, so angry that God would redeem fallen man (who had not even been created yet, let alone fallen) by offering Himself under the appearance of bread and wine for man's salvation, protested himself right into the depths of Hell.

You see, they hated the Eucharist right from the beginning.
