The consequenes of shacking up with modernism
Mr. Christopher Johnson in a recent post mentions some consequences of the decline of the Church of England, including references to church attendance in 1968 and the present.
Per The Times, attendance has dropped by over 25% in the 37 years. Being a nosy parker, I looked into what percentage of the English population could be expected to be found in a CoE church on any given Sunday in 1968 and in the present. (Using general demographic stats provided here.) I was stunned. In 1968, it was only 3.28% and it is now a robust 2.38%. All that work to be engaged with modernity sure has paid off!
